This week is mainly for harvesting but summer fruiting raspberries should be pruned as well. Feeding your potatoes every other week will ensure a healthy, bumper crop.
If you are going on holiday then remember to move container grown plants into the shade to reduce water loss.

PRUNE SUMMER FRUITING RASPBERRIES
When your summer fruiting raspberries have finished fruiting they should be pruned. Summer fruiting raspberries fruit on last year’s canes so they need special pruningn to give a good crop next year.

THIN LETTUCE SEEDLINGS
Thin lettuce seedlings to about 10cm / 4in apart initially. Later in the year when they start to touch each other harvest the small ones and eat them, these are the most delicious of all lettuces. See our full article on the care of lettuces
