RAISED BED AND CONTAINER WEEKLY DIARY
WEEK 3 IN MAY

SOW MORE FRENCH BEANS IN POTS INDOORS
If your area is relatively warm then the French Beans can be sown outside directly in the raised bed. In cooler areas though there is still the risk of a late frost which would kill French Beans so wait one more week. They are one of the most frost tender vegetables. They transplant from pot to the raised bed easily though so don’t take a chance with a late frost?
To widen the cropping period of French Beans sow some more seeds now in pots and transplant them when they are 10cm / 4in or so high.
