PLANT POTATOES FOR CHRISTMAS
You can significantly increase the cropping time of potatoes and a very satisfying one if you end up with home grown new potatoes at Christmas.
The process is very similar to normally planting potatoes only the timing differs. You will be amazed at how quick the potatoes grow when the weather is warm.

HARVEST BEETROOT
Continue to harvest beetroot.
HARVEST MAINCROP CARROTS
Some of your maincrop carrots should be ready for harvest late August to early September. Only harvest the ones you need to eat immediately the remainder will keep best in the ground until early / mid October.

HARVEST ONIONS
Harvesting onions correctly has a great impact on how long they can be stored for. Get them out of the ground when the green foliage has fallen over and begun to wither. Choose a sunny couple days and leave them on the dry ground for two days. Read our article for lots more information on
harvesting onions. Store them in a cool position such as a shed or garage.

We recommend feeding potatoes in containers every other week with a liquid tomato feed.
