SOUP RECIPES FROM GARDENFOCUSED
Historical evidence shows that making soup dates back over 20,000 years. In the 1700s “portable soup” was first invented. It involved slow cooking cheap joints of meat or poultry and then slowly drying it out. The resulting semi-hard jelly could be easily stored and transported for cooking at a later date. The whole process typically took 12 days.
We have a come a long way from that but the taste, texture and appearance of good quality soup has ensured it is still popular. All the soup recipes below have been cooked by us at least twice and often many, many times. Each has several pictures to help with each stage.
